Things went horribly wrong. It was a real mess. We tried to {compensate|address the situation, but it was like trying to stop a tsunami with a cocktail stick. We're still picking up the pieces and feeling the blow of this unmitigated catastrophe.

Ultimately, you are left with a sense of utter perplexity. You question about the meaning of it all. Was this some kind of twisted art experiment?

Or were we just living in a simulation gone wrong?

A Disaster of Epic Proportions

Dreadful Day Ever

It all started with a case of morning hair. I couldn't figure it to look decent. As I was dashing out the door, I stumbled and with a thud all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was totally behind schedule for school.

I sweating. My {boss|friend|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was no use.

The rest of the day was just as bad. Everything. I couldn'tfocus.

By the time I got home, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

It all started out terribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
